The Miles & More loyalty program led by Lufthansa, Swiss and Brussels Airlines is offering a 50% miles bonus to members who have never purchased miles and will buy miles these days. I’ll tell you how to take advantage of this attractive promotion.
Buying miles with Miles & More is useful:
- to top up an insufficient balance to qualify for an award
- when paying for a flight or upgrade with miles costs less than the regular fare in hard currency.
Miles & More is unique in that it sells its miles through a range of four “Bundle&Go” packages (XS, Small, Medium, Large) including:
- a fixed number of miles, between 3,000 and 100,000 miles depending on the offer chosen
- bonus miles on one (and only one) future hotel or car rental booking via the Hotels & Cars website
- miles when you join the Avis Preferred program and bonus miles on your next 5 Avis car rentals
- a discount on the first year’s subscription to the Priority Pass airport lounge access card.
Whichever Bundle&Go pack is purchased now and until an undetermined date, the number of miles credited is 50% higher than the number of miles usually included in the chosen bundle. So don’t wait if you’re interested in this offer, as the promotion could end at any time.
Bundles are sold in euros, US dollars, British pounds and Canadian dollars, at the customer’s choice.
If we consider the purchase of a Bundle&Go pack solely to buy miles, the promotion reduces the cost of acquiring a mile to EUR 0.0117 / USD 0.0139 / GBP 0.0104 / CAD 0.0195 by opting for the largest package (the higher the volume of miles purchased, the lower the unit price per mile).

All Miles & More members can earn up to 250,000 miles per calendar year via Bundle&Go. Bonus miles do not count towards this limit. Each member can therefore purchase up to 2x “Bundle Large” and 1x “Bundle Medium” packs (each pack must be ordered separately). However, only the first purchase is eligible for the 50% bonus, so it is preferable to buy the largest pack first.
Before purchasing miles, make sure that the desired award is available and that the operation is profitable (redemption value of the mile greater than or equal to its purchase price).

Although a 5-day processing time is announced, miles are generally deposited into the Miles & More account on the day of payment.
For non-status members, miles purchased are valid for 36 months end of the quarter. Purchasing miles does not extend the validity of miles already on account.
For Frequent Traveller, Senator and HON Circle members, purchased miles do not expire as long as status is maintained.
