The Miles & More loyalty program led by Lufthansa, Swiss and Brussels Airlines is offering a 30% miles bonus to all members who purchase miles until 31 May 2025. I’ll tell you how to take advantage of this attractive promotion, which qualifies you also for a 50% bonus on a future private sale in June.
Buying miles with Miles & More is useful:
- to top up an insufficient balance to qualify for an award
- when paying for a flight or upgrade with miles costs less than the regular fare in hard currency.
Miles & More is unique in that it sells its miles through a range of four “Bundle&Go” packages (XS, Small, Medium, Large) including:
- a fixed number of miles, between 3,000 and 100,000 miles depending on the offer chosen
- bonus miles on one (and only one) future hotel or car rental booking via the Hotels & Cars website
- miles when you join the Avis Preferred program and bonus miles on your next 5 Avis car rentals
- a discount on the first year’s subscription to the Priority Pass airport lounge access card.
Whichever Bundle&Go pack is purchased between 1 and 31 May 2025, the number of miles credited is 30% higher than the number of miles usually included in the chosen bundle. Good to know: during a previous operation, Miles & More stopped the sales before the scheduled date without warning, on the pretext that the (undisclosed) quantities were sold out – so it’s best not to wait if you’re interested in the offer.
Bundles are sold in euros, US dollars, British pounds and Canadian dollars, at the customer’s choice.
If we consider the purchase of a Bundle&Go pack solely to buy miles, the promotion reduces the cost of acquiring a mile to EUR 0.013 / USD 0.015 / GBP 0.012 / CAD 0.022 by opting for the largest package (the higher the volume of miles purchased, the lower the unit price per mile).

All Miles & More members can earn up to 250,000 miles per calendar year via Bundle&Go. Bonus miles do not count towards this limit. Each member can therefore purchase up to 2x “Bundle Large” and 1x “Bundle Medium” packs (each pack must be ordered separately).
Miles & More has already announced that a promotion offering a bonus of 50% extra miles will be open from 5 to 15 June 2025, but access to it will be exclusively reserved for members who have purchased at least one S, M or L pack during the current promotion (excluding the XS pack). Buying a Bundle Medium today and then two Bundle Large next month is probably the best way to buy the maximum number of miles while reducing the cost per mile.
Before purchasing miles, make sure that the desired award is available and that the operation is profitable (redemption value of the mile greater than or equal to its purchase price).

Although a 5-day processing time is announced, miles are generally deposited into the Miles & More account on the day of payment.
For non-status members, miles purchased are valid for 36 months end of the quarter. Purchasing miles does not extend the validity of miles already on account.
For Frequent Traveller, Senator and HON Circle members, purchased miles do not expire as long as status is maintained.
