The Hilton Honors hotel loyalty program is offering all members a bonus of 100% additional points on points purchased until 24 July 2026. I’ll tell you how to take advantage of this attractive promotion.
Buying points is useful:
- to top up an insufficient points balance to qualify for a free stay
- when paying for a night with points costs less than the regular hard currency rate
- to extend expiring points already in your account by 24 months.
Points can be redeemed at the many participating brands in the program: Apartement Collection by Hilton, AutoCamp, Canopy Hotels, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Curio Collection by Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton, Embassy Suites by Hilton, Graduate by Hilton, Hampton by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Grand Vacations, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Home2 Suites by Hilton, Homewood Suites by Hilton, LivSmart Studios by Hilton, LXR Hotels & Resorts, Motto by Hilton, NoMad, Outset Collection by Hilton, Signia by Hilton, Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH), Spark by Hilton, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, Tempo by Hilton, Tru by Hilton, Undergraduate by Hilton and Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts. Free nights must be booked on the Hilton website.
To be allowed to buy points, the Hilton Honors member must have been signed up to the program more than 30 days ago and have a positive point balance (points earned from a hotel stay or through a program partner); otherwise, the member must have joined the program more than 90 days ago.
Hilton Honors usually sells its points at USD 10 per 1,000 points (i.e. $0.01 each) and sets a purchase limit of 160,000 points per calendar year per member.
During this special limited-time offer, purchases of 5,000 points or more are rewarded with a 100% bonus in points (the points purchased are doubled), and the annual purchase limit is raised to 240,000 points.
As a result, the cost of acquiring a point drops to $0.005 and Hilton Honors members can receive up to 480,000 points (240,000 points purchased + 240,000 bonus points).
| Points purchased | Bonus | Points credited | Cost per point |
|---|---|---|---|
| From 1,000 points ($10) to 4,000 points ($40) | no | 1,000 to 4,000 points | $0.010 |
| From 5,000 points ($50) to 240,000 points ($2400) | 100% | 10,000 to 480,000 points | $0.005 |
Before buying points, even on the occasion of a sale like this one, make sure that the desired award is available and that the transaction is profitable (exchange value of the point greater than or equal to its purchase price).
To take advantage of the promotion, go to this page on the Hilton website and select the “Buy Points” module. If you are not already logged in to your Hilton Honors account, you will need to authenticate yourself.
Points purchased through this mechanism do not count toward eligible spends to progress in the loyalty program’s Elite tier status.
Although a 48 hours processing time is announced, the points (base and any bonus) are usually deposited into the member’s Hilton Honors account within hours of payment.
